Unique ethnic jacquard design.

Made in Cape Town South Africa from imported cotton yarn.

The poncho is reversible, one side is black and white and the other side is gray and black.

Fabric colors may differ slightly from one photoshoot to another.

This garment is manufactured within a 40km radius of our manufacturer's headquarters in Cape Town South Africa.

This enables factory workers to stay employed and retain skill sets in an industry that has lost over 85 000 jobs to imports in the last 10 years.

It also reduces the environmental impact of having to move materials and finished garments around the globe.

In many instances, the workers (predominantly female) are sole breadwinners and come from dire socioeconomic backgrounds where gangsterism, drugs, violent crime, and abuse are the norm. We follow a policy of empowerment from within and many of our staff now fill senior positions within the company.

Our manufacturer belongs to the National Clothing Bargaining Council that enforces fair and ethical workplace conditions and employment.  The industry is also fully unionized (South African Clothing and Textiles Workers Union) and the unions do additional oversight in the industry.
